Coffee

Panet Bean became the first Canadian coffee company to sign to the Ethiopian Trademark agreement last year.
hat could be better than a freshly roasted cup of coffee? All the coffees and teas at The River come from Planet Bean, in Guelph, Ont, where the beans are organic and fair-trade and are roasted to order, ensuring consistent freshness.
Come in and try the popular Café Femenino. This Peruvian coffee is grown in the northern Andes through a unique co-operative of more than 750 women in 50 communities. Café Femenino is their proactive plan to change their lives and the lives of their children. At The River, we have decided to fully support their efforts and encourage people to buy their coffee.
Like all the
coffee's at The River, Café Femenino is organic and certified fair trade by
TransFair Canada plus the women are paid higher than the official fair trade
price. Part of that goes into a separate fund which they administer for community
projects.Of course at The River, a dark roast and decaf always accompany the full-bodied Feminino, providing a brew for most everyone. Want a flavored coffee? Just order a shot of organic syrup to dress it up.
Certainly you may want to enjoy the coffee's at home. Well The River offers half pound bags to go and don't worry about whole beans- Michael would be happy to grind the beans to your coffee makers specifications.
